Middle School Inducts Student Government Officers

Mars Area Middle School held a Planet Peace/School Spirit/Student Government Kickoff assembly on Sept. 29.

As part of the event, the school’s Student Government announced its 2017-2018 class officers. Eighth grade officers are Joey Tepke (president) and Austin Cote (vice president) and seventh grade officers are Charlie Stoops (president) and Kate Muchnok (vice president).

Homeroom representatives are eighth-graders Evan Bean, James Bromley, Kevin Butler, Cindy Carr, Joshua Ferguson, Andrew Fetters, Rayna Halper, Anuj Kaul, Dylan Koma, Meghan McKenzie, Madison Moan, Aidan Moffa, Gillian Porter, Trevor Relue, Christian Scheller, Zach Schlegel, Aidan Sperdute, Dylan Tate, Evan Thompson, Jessica Winters and Eli Wright; and seventh-graders Luke Baumgartel, Madison Chioda, Amaya Davis, Josh Dunham, Katie Ford, Jonathan Grieco, Emma Grell, Garrett Hull, Talia Lamm, Mia Lipscomb, Matthew Littleton, Kyle McEwen, Andrew Olson, Evan Peaco, Eva Ranalli, Sam Schultz, Shannon Sticinski, John Sutton, Taylor Tumulty and Chase Winstead.  

The student government program at Mars Area Middle School is modeled after state and federal government, giving a practical lesson in how government works. The program and its activities are a means of developing pride in the school and in the community.
