Mars Area Middle School will hold a Planet Peace/School Spirit/Student Government Kickoff assembly from 12:30 to 2:10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29.

As part of the event, the school’s Student Government will swear in its 2017-2018 president, vice president and officers as well as all student senators and committee members. Students will also participate in a variety of games and other activities.

Student Government at Mars Area Middle School is modeled after state and federal government, giving a practical lesson in how government works. The program and its activities are a means of developing pride in the school and in the community.
