Mars Girls Youth Lacrosse 14U Gold Team took top places in two end-of-year tournaments, held May 18-19.

On May 18, the 14U Gold Team earned first place in the WPSLA (Western PA Scholastic Lacrosse Association) League Tournament at Veteran’s Park (Beaver Falls, Pa.), playing five games, scoring a total of 45 points, and allowing in only three goals. On May 19, the team took second place at the Gold League EOY Tournament at Shady Side Academy, winning four out of five games.

Team members are Mars Area Middle School eighth-graders Bri Belich, Amaya Davis, Katie Ford, Emma Grell, Sydney Heim, Lucy Huggins, Mia Lipscomb, Ainsley McGee, Jessica McNulty, Carly Radomski, Elise Raydo, Charlotte Stamper, Natalie Stasiowski, Sarah Teamann and Lexi Whitworth and well as Grace Gilmore and Paige Rodgers. Mars Area senior Emily Rogers coaches the team.
