The Mars Area Middle School Open House, scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, has been changed from the normal format of parents visiting the school to a pre-recorded, virtual presentation.
Mars Area School District had hoped to offer “in-person” Open House events this spring; however, given the recent increase in positive COVID-19 cases reported within our school buildings and in the community, all Open House events will now be held virtually.
The good news is that each teacher will record a video and audio presentation that describes the educational experiences within their classroom. You can access these presentations on each teachers Schoology page by going to a folder labeled Open House Presentation – April 22nd. Access to these presentations will be available by 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 22.
Teachers will be at school to create and upload their presentations on Thursday, April 22nd from either 2:45 to 4:45 p.m. or 6 to 8 p.m. While we encourage all parents to view the teacher recorded presentations, several teachers will not be present to create and record a presentation. Below, you will find a list of teachers who will not be present. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience. If you feel there is a need to meet with a teacher to discuss how your child is performing, please contact him or her directly to schedule an appointment.

- Mr. Simon Neubert – 7th & 8th Grade Orchestra
- Mr. Mark Rodgers – 7th & 8th Grade Band
