Mars Area Middle School seventh-grader Gianna Kampian was invited to train and compete in the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Junior Circuit: USTA Middle States Sectional Training Center, held Feb. 11-12. 

Kampian, who has been involved in tennis since age 5, was one of 12 girls in the Middle States region invited to participate in the event. As a member of Lakevue Athletic Club, she competes in USTA tournaments to earn points toward her district, section and national ranking.  

USTA Middle States hold organized training opportunities for high-performance players across the section. These Sectional Training Centers, Early Development Camps and Team USA Camps are designed so players can train and improve at the highest-possible level, setting them up for success in junior tournaments and beyond.
