Mars Area Middle School introduced the members of its 2024-2025 Student Council at a Fall School Spirit Assembly on Sept. 27.

Eighth grade Student Council members are Olivia Airgood, Cade Christy, Klay Funovits, Alex Joos, Evan Lewis, Graham Maringer, Alaina McCurdy, Carly McKenna, Jack Sechler, Nila Van Wyk, Mason Wyzkowski and Tumaris Yalkun; and seventh grade members are Avery Babeo, Teagan Clawson, Aila Dickson, Matthew Konitzky, Nolan Lego, Jaqueline Li, Jacob Murungi, Karten Peters, Mary Rhenish, Jaxon Sandherr, Serena Vowell and Charles Wilson.

Student Council elections were held Sept. 24-25. The elected members will vote to select a president, vice president and secretary.

In addition, during the assembly, students in seventh- and eighth- competed in a variety of activities and events, including a “Pumpkin Pass Relay,” “Back-to-Back Stand Up Challenge,” “Ball/Knee Relay” and a “Tug of War.”
