A team of Mars Area Middle School students competed in the 2018 Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Middle School Science Bowl, held March 3 at Community College of Allegheny County — South Campus (West Mifflin, Pa.).

Team members are eighth-graders Charles Biaku, Christopher Dvorak, Audrey Gehm and Audrey Milk (captain); and seventh-grader Madeline Wolf.

The students, who competed against 28 teams from local middle schools, were asked questions related to biology, chemistry, earth & space, energy, mathematics and physics.
