Three Mars Area swimmers competed in the 2018 Pennsylvania YMCA State Swimming Championships, held March 23-25 at Pennsylvania State University’s McCoy Natatorium (University Park, Pa.).

In 10&Under competition, fifth-grader Sean Muchnok earned sixth place with a time of 38.99 in the 50-Yard Breaststroke and eighth place (1:27.16) in the 100-Yard Breaststroke.

In 13-14 competition, the team of seventh-grader Natalie Stasioski and three others took 16th place (1:47.83) in the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay. In 15&Over competition, junior Jenna Halenda received 18th place (5:36.87) in the 500-Yard Freestyle.
