Mars Area Middle School seventh-grader Kendall Bruns earned High Honors in the 2019 Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) Talent Search.
Bruns was recognized for her high scores on the School & College Ability Test (SCAT), which is used by CTY as an above-grade-level entrance exam for students (Grades 2-8).
“Participating in the Talent Search is an achievement in itself, but your scores were truly remarkable and placed you among a rare group of talented students,” Luke Kasim, CTY recruitment director, wrote in a letter to Bruns.
