Mars Area Middle School is looking for two teams of students to compete in the Southwest PA Regional Middle School Science Bowl, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. The Science Bowl is a competitive science event among teams of middle school students who compete in a fast-paced verbal forum to solve technical problems and answer questions in all branches of science and math. Each team is composed of five students.

The regional event will be held on Friday, Feb. 27 at the CCAC South Campus. There will be after school practices to prepare for the competition.   

The qualifying exam to join this team will be given on Tuesday, Nov. 18, during homeroom in the LGI.

If you are interested in qualifying for the science bowl team(s) but are unable to take the exam on Nov. 20., please let Mrs. Stavish or Mrs. Winter know ahead of time and we can make other arrangements for you.
