Mars Area Middle School seventh-grader Olivia Airgood was awarded “High Point Rider” and received first place in the Future Intermediate Division of the IEA (Interscholastic Equestrian Association) Region 11.

A member of Willow Brook Stables LLC (Fombell) IEA Middle School Team, Airgood earned a total of 48 points by competing in various IEA events throughout the fall. She will advance to compete with the team and as an individual at the IEA Region 11 Qualifiers to be held Feb. 24-25 at The Grier School Stables (Tyrone, Pa.).

Airgood began competing with her IEA Team in fifth grade, says Tommy Airgood, her father.  She has been riding horses since she was 18 months old and started showing horses and competing at age 4.
