Mars Girls Youth Lacrosse Association’s U12 Blue Team won the 2024 Gold League Tournament, held May 18 at Wright Fields at Veterans Park (Beaver Falls, Pa.).

The team went undefeated (5-0) winning over Mt. Lebanon, Pine-Richland, Sewickley Valley, Upper St. Clair, and Pittsburgh Youth Lacrosse (PYLAX). Team members include sixth-grader Olivia Ando, Elisia DePaoli, Madeleine Garraux, Piper Hartge, Maddie James, London Ligda, Rebecca McGrath, Quinn McNichols, Rowan Mondi, Grace Radford, Logan Reutzel and Jasmine Schlie; fifth-grader Elise Balazs, Alyssa Day, Lila Leapline, Molly Magness, Mia McCaskey, Vivienne Navari, Genevieve Ratcliffe and Ivy Temyer; and fourth-grader Charlee McMurtrie.

Also of note, the U14 Team won three games and advanced to the semifinal round of the tournament; but were defeated by Upper St. Clair. Team members include eighth-grader Ella DePaoli, Reanna Kolarcik-Schmitt, Nicolette Lefcakis, Brooklyn Ligda, Riley Long, McKenna McMurtie, Olivia Paugh, Reese Polito and Makenna Weaver; seventh-grader Cece Chirdon, Madelyn Gallagher, Isabel Kurpeikis, Carly McKenna, Danielle Mollica, Mackenzie Powell, Shea Radford, Gia Raishart, Hadley Rouce, Frankie Searle, Lola Seideneck and Lily Wilson; and non-district students Makenzie Clark, Annabelle Cox and Marcelle Minutolo.

In addition, the U12 Gold Team ended the regular season undefeated. The association’s U10 and U8 teams also recorded successful seasons.
