Eighth Grade Recognition Ceremony & Dance Information

All Eighth Grade students will have a Recognition Ceremony Practice from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 2, and Tuesday, June 3 at the Mars Area High School Auditorium.  At dismissal time, students will board the buses at the high school.  All students being picked up by parents on those days will be dismissed from the Mars Area High School Auditorium entrance at 2:30 PM.

The Eighth Grade Recognition Ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, at the Mars Area High School Auditorium. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Students need to arrive no later than 5:45 PM.

After the ceremony, students will go to the Mars Area Middle School for the dance.  A shuttle bus will be provided to transport students from the recognition ceremony to the middle school.  Students are not required to ride the shuttle bus.  If students are not using the shuttle bus, parents will need to drop off students at the front entrance of the middle school for the dance.  Student Council will provide refreshments and light snacks at the dance; there is no admission fee.  Please arrange for your son/daughter to be picked up promptly at 9:30 p.m..
