Four Mars Area Middle School students, who entered the Young Writers of Pennsylvania “Stranger Saga” creative writing contest, were selected to have their works published,.

Students are eighth-graders Everly Henderson and Emma Johnston, and seventh-graders Noah Fecich and Seth Pedicone.

The contest, open to middle school and high school students, asked young writers to submit original stories about something strange, mysterious or unusual in 100 words or less. The overall winner of the competition will receive a $1,000 Amazon gift card.
