Sadhu’s essay on Dr. Benjamin Rush, a Founding Father of the United States, will be forwarded to the Pennsylvania State Society DAR American History Essay Contest. If selected, the essay will advance to the Eastern Division level of the competition.
This contest, open to students in Grades 5-8, asked participants to write an essay imagining a meeting with a Declaration of Independence signer. All submissions are judged for historical accuracy, adherence to the topic, organization of materials, interest, originality, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and neatness.
