Mars Area Middle School seventh-grader Lily Wingard was named a State Beam Champion at “Flipping with the Stars” 2026 PA Xcel Platinum-Diamond-Sapphire State Championships, held May 1-3 in State College, Pa.

Wingard, a Platinum-level gymnast on the Xquisite Team at X-Cel Gymnastics (Cranberry Twp.) competed in Session 9 of the Junior B Division at the event. She earned a first place score of 9.800 on Beam; tied for second place (9.475) on Floor; and took third place All-Around with a combined score of 37.50.
