Butts was named the Pennsylvania State Champion in Combat Sparring for 2nd–3rd Degree Black Belt Girls ages 11-12. In addition, she has qualified to compete in Combat Sparring, Forms, Sparring and Weapons at the Northeast District Championships, to be held on June 5-6 in Lancaster, Pa.
The event will bring together competitors from Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont and West Virginia.
