Mars Area School District is excited to announce that the Mars Area High School Fightin’ Planets Mascot has been selected to compete in The 64’s annual America’s Best High School Mascot Tournament.
The six-round, fan-voted competition will feature high school mascots from across the country competing in head-to-head matchups. Online voting for the first round begins on Thursday, Oct. 15.
The Fightin’ Planets earned an invitation to the tournament, following an outstanding display of community support during the 2026 National High School Mascot Brackets competition, where the Fightin’ Planets captured the title of Best High School Mascot in America.
Mars Area fans are encouraged to once again show their Planets Pride and support the Fightin’ Planets throughout the tournament. Additional information and voting instructions will be shared as each round begins.
The 64 is a fan-voted, bracket-style platform that invites the public to determine winners through friendly, head-to-head tournaments spanning food, culture, lifestyle, and entertainment. The annual America’s Best High School Mascot Tournament is presented by The Mascot Shop®.
