Numerous works by Mars Area students were selected for the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV 29th annual Student Arts Exhibit at Grove City College’s Pew Fine Arts Center.
Senior Dorothy Mae Thornton received the Viewer’s Choice award for her piece, “Paradise.” Other students whose artworks were selected for the exhibit are seniors Jake Bishop, Clayton Goupil and Jacob Wright; juniors John Carpenter, Ben King and Catherine Viale; sophomore Hunter Lawther; eighth-graders Hunter Foulk, Katelynn Fromlak, Trevor Relue, Paige Stafford and Olivia Waldrop; and seventh-graders Griffen Cherry and Gavin Unruh.
The exhibit remains on display from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays through April 21.The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation and Thirty-Three Foundation are event sponsors.
